Blean in Summer
Normal service is resumed today, with photos taken in Blean Woods, just outside Canterbury, in Kent. I love a woodland walk in summer, but find it the hardest time of year to photograph what I see. The light can be very challenging and the abundant plant life, whilst adding a beautiful vibrant green, also complicates the scene and makes composition more tricky. On this particular visit, I found myself drawn mostly to fallen or broken trees – my way of making sense of the general chaos, I think.
As always, clicking of any of the images will open them in a new window should you wish to take a closer look.
