For our June photography group meeting, the theme was circles. As always, we all interpreted that in very different ways and spent the evening looking at and discussing a varied set of images.
I struggled to find the time (or the inspiration, if I’m completely honest) to get out and look for circles, so decided to photograph the things I could find at home. The challenge, of course, is doing that in an interesting way. Having gone for light, white and, in some cases, overexposed shots for our spring theme, I decided to experiment with low light and with intentionally underexposing my images this time. The results are not typical of the kind of photograph I normally take, but it’s no bad thing to try something new from time to time!
